Hello. I was researching AMLCD (active matrix liquid crystal display)
technology out of general curiosity and was informed the main
criticism with AMLCD is the viewing angle (or rather, lack of viewing
angle). I then came across a press release in the Honeywell web site
about a new DU-1080 flat panel display they're developing (initially
for avionics, plane cockpits, etc.) in concert with Mitsubishi that is
supposed to dramatically widen the viewing angle. They don't say by
how much or to what degree. However, a fellow at Mitsubishi said plus
or minus 80 degrees. I was told this is significant and addresses the
display angle criticism. Anybody have a thought about that or this
DU-1080 flat panel display under development?

Thanks.
