Very bright response. I'm sure all Canadians are proud of you.

And you seem SO well informed about gay sexual practices!

I guess the valid point is that someone can be both of those
things. As such, and as they are presumably pilots, if a club or
support group helps them anjoy their flying more, or makes some new
friendships for them, then I think it is great.

After all, there are pilot groups for flying farmers, doctors, lawyers,
old folks, young folks, alcoholics, combat veterans, people with
striped shirts, etc. I have found many friends and met interesting
people through the specialized organizations I have joined, and so I am
sure that gay pilots would find the same value in some sort of social
club as I found with glider pilot and formula one air racing groups.

This "board" is rec.aviation.piloting, which includes piloting
enthusiasts of any subdivision, including those with little pink
triangle bumper stickers on their cars. If this group should be for sky
CONQUERORS only, then the first thing we should do is ban those lowly
pilots who can't fly a tailwheel aircraft! Now those sick little
un-natural, heathen, sinful, anti-social bastards are the ones I think
we should take out behind the hangar and beat silly :)

Besides...."sky conqueror" sounds a little perverted anyway....
and no one is more homophobic than a latent homosexual...

HEAR! HEAR!

As a new reader, it's nice to know that there are such open minded pilots
in this group.

Cheers!

Is there some sort of asshole test to get onto the Carleton Freenet?
There seems to be a lot of you guys. BTW, this isn't a BBS-- it's the
internet. You just demonstrated your ignorance to potentially millions of
people around the world.

Most pilots (or grown-up pilots, at any rate) are more interested in how
and where other pilots fly than in what they do in bed. There are gay
pilots and controllers out there. Get used to it or stop flying.

FWIW, you've just demonstrated exactly why the original poster was looking
for a gay-friendly flying club. The last thing he wants to do is share a
circuit (let alone an aircraft) with an ignorant SOB like you.

While the term "ass pokers" is certainly not one I relish, I think
reacting the way you are is only counter-productive. It is said when a
fool and a wiseman argue, the difference between them gradually blurs.
So take it easy, eh? :)

No Tom, all it means is that Mr. Wall has not mastered the fine political
art of "suffering fools gladly."
