I'm interested in trying for a Airframe and Powerplant license and I'm
(administratively) starting from the zero point. What are the requirements?
Tests?
Practical experience required? Do you already have to be working in the
aviation field?

Thanks

I can't find my reg book right now but basically, you can go to an approved
school for 18 months or work under an A&P mechanic for 30 months full-time.
I have heard rumors that the 30 month rule was going to be deleted in the
near future. Anyone know for sure?

You can start training from scratch with no previous aviation experience.

There are 3 written tests. After completion of training, there is an oral
(questions) and a practical (skills) test.
