The biggest challenge seems to be China and Russia actually
fielding a true 5th Gen fighter.

Face it, the Cold War is over. It's done. Finished. We won. Yaaay. I
don't see any logic in continuing defense spending at anywhere near
cold war levels. That sort of spending helped to bring down the Soviet
Union-with our current debt, it just isn't economically feasible.

Hobson's choice is not a choice between two bad options.
it you get what your given you have no choice.
the famed Hobson ran an inn and stables and you could rent a horse. but
the horse was the one Hobson had ready, not one you might want to pick. a
take it or leave it option.
people always get it wrong.
