Jet on Jet First?

Another on-topic post:

When did the first shootdown of a jet bomber by a jet fighter happen? And for those who need them, here are the qualifiers:

1. Jet bomber = jet propelled aircraft primarily used as a bomber, not a fighter.
2. V-1 Buzz Bombs do not count. Why? Because I said so.

I do not really know the answer but as a quick stab I am going to say during the Suez War in 1956? Israeli jet fighter vs Egyptian/Syrian bomber?

Is this the incident you're talking about?:

That's interesting to say the least. But no, unless it was carrying bombs, I'm going to say it didn't qualify!

Would you believe...
Two Grumman A-6As (BuNo 152627 and 152625) shot down by Chinese
MiG-19s when they accidently flew into Chinese airspace. 21 August
1967

Two A-4s were shot down by MiG-17s on 25 April 1967, but I suppose
they couls be classed as fighter bombers (because they carried guns)
although they were designed as bombers.

Maybe someone else can find something earlier.
