You can copy the content of a page to the masterpage. Select the page. Use CTRL-A to copy the content of the page. And then go to the mastertab. Make a new page, and copy with CTRL-V the copied content to the page. .
I would also like to request that something like a drag and drop from page to master or a convert to master be added. It would help immensely when using older designs that need to be modified. Thank you.

Just to add that I was looking for that functionality.. It's user error really (I shoudl have planned ahead better) but teh facility to copy the page and grid/guides to the master section to then apply to other pages is a nice idea (and I was used to it coming from InDesign)
One reason the ability to convert a page to a master would be helpful is guides. You can copy all the elements from a page, but the guides don't copy. Often, a lot of time is spent tweaking guides in real time, so the ability to convert them would help.
I have a large document that I initially set up as a single page document. Things have changed, so I used the document setup dialog to turn it into a facing page document. The only problem is that my master pages are still single pages, and I need them to be spreads. Is there a way to change this?
Thanks for getting back to me. I have seen that post, but that is about starting a document with a spread, rather than a recto page. This problem is entirely to do with master pages. My master pages show up as single pages, rather than spreads, even though my doc is set up as spreads.
Yours,
You can import a facing master page from a document that was started as a facing-page document. Maybe start a new facing-page doc the size of your existing doc, copy the master-page items from your single to the facing doc and save it. Then import the facing master into the single doc with the fly-out of the Pages window (Master Pages>Load Master Pages). If the new doc has the same name for the master page as was in the single doc, you can elect to replace the same-named master in the single with the one from the facing. If you don't want to do that, name the master in the facing to something else.
EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking about how Quark does master pages. It's easier if you just edit your master (select the master and go to Master Options) or make a new master and set the number of pages to 2.
If you have an old master that is not longer used and all images have expired or been migrated, then simply re-install NetBackup software on that media server and specify it as a media server- so much easier and cleaner.
As an alternate approach, you can use the MBR2GPT.EXE tool to convert the MBR disk to the GPT partition format. Keep in mind that the tool can be more complicated to use than the diskpart process. For details, see Convert MBR partition to GPT.
I am working for a client who used a design team to create a new look, but they created regular slides, instead of master slides. For the basic slides (logo, etc.), I am able to copy/paste to create master slides, but for slides that already have text, is there a way to quickly convert existing text into a placeholder? Same question for pictures (for example round pictures into a placeholder for images).
When I was copy/pasting the existing text into a master slide, then PPT thinks this is a static element, and it is not editable when using that masterslide as the layout.
Video Convert Master can burn, convert, split and merge a variety of different video formats. The application supports AVI, MPEG, MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, VCD, DVD, SVCD, RMVB, RM, WMV and any most used video formats.
I supposed to finish my master at the end of this year. However it looks like I'm going to extend for another semester, which mean my scholarship will also end and I have to self sponsor myself for the tuition fee. Research grant also will end and I have no allowance for next semester. I'll not have any financial source after that.
My plan is to convert the mode and apply a job near my college so I can afford to live and pay the tuition fee. However if I apply for part time mode, the time for graduation will be extend to another 1.5 years. Further planning is I'll try hard for another 1.5 years to get my master converted to PHD while working.
EX-4200 in a virtual chassis I want to convert to stand alone. I have tried to load factory default through the LCD menu (worked for 3 other switches in same chassis) as well as with CLI commands. NOTHING WORKS. I've changed membership priority and rebooted trying to reassign as master. What am I not doing or doing wrong? I have discovered that cussing the box does not help as much as I thought it would.
Many organizations began to be aware of and change non-inclusive language in the second decade of the 21st century. Many of those changes affected technology, including the choice for git to replace master with main for the default repo branch to avoid connotations with slavery.
While GitHub took actions to ensure new repos created on the site used main, older projects still used master as the default branch. In addition, some generator libraries still create new projects with master as the default and Azure DevOps also creates new repos with master as the default.
In each case, I plan to leave the master branch in place for about a week before removing it. At my work organization, I am in the process of informing other contributors about the need to change to using main.
I have looked in DSS and I can create a Master Flat (only if I load a light to be additional processed) in the image folder, but if I add darks and Bias as well I can not see if a master is created so looking into how to create master darks and Bias.
If you want simply to create a master dark or bias you could just load your set of darks or bias into DSS as if they were images and ask it to combine them using a plain average. While this is what I do (in AstroArt) to make my darks library I'm using set point cooling CCD. With DSLR I'm not sure that this would be a good idea because a bias is used to scale the darks. I'm not sure how this works, I must stress, because I don't use a DSLR. You might be best to do it longhand unless someone knows the proper procedure.
Finally got it sorted. It appears that the masters are only created when there are many input files. As I was originally trying out DSS, I was putting 16 Lights, 2 darks, 2, Bias and 10 flats through and it appears that it means many more than just 2 files to generate a master. I only found this out as I wiped eveything and tried again this time putting loads more darks and bias.
Video Convert Master is one of the most complete and simple multimedia converters that we will be able to find on the market. It can convert and segment between the most used video formats: AVI, MPEG, MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, VCD, DVD, SVCD, RMVB, RM, and WMV, among others.
Furthermore, it comes with added functions, like its capacity to create video DVDs with our favorite films or extract the audio from the video that we tell it to. One of this program's most important features is its attractive and intuitive interface, very different to the incomprehensible menus that some outdated converters use.
It has a single main window from which we'll be able to access, through different icons, nine different conversion profiles, each one of which with its own variants depending on the quality and the size of the output file. The profiles aren't only based on the format that we want to convert them to, they are also based on the portable device that we're going to use to play them.
If you have more or less advanced video knowledge, you'll be able to edit the profiles by means of the corresponding tab, that will open a small configuration window. A simple and attractive solution to convert video, that will also offer us the possibility to burn our DVDs.
For the longest time, the default branch in most Git repositories was named "master". Fortunately, many people have become aware that this terminology (even more evident in "master/slave") should be replaced! The tech industry should move to a more inclusive, open culture - and removing language like "master/slave" is an important step in this journey.
In the second step, we'll have to create a new branch on the remote named "main" - because Git does not allow to simply "rename" a remote branch. Instead, we'll have to create a new "main" branch and then delete the old "master" branch.
GitHub, like other code-hosting platforms, too, expects you to define a "default" branch - and deleting this is not allowed. Additionally, your old "master" might be set as "protected". You'll need to resolve this before you can go on. Here's how to do this in GitHub:
After creating the new "main" branch on the remote, you might then (depending on your Git hosting platform) have to change the "default" branch or remove any "protected" status for "master". You will then be able to delete the old "master" branch on the remote.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is your toolchain: if you're using a CI/CD tool, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps / Atlassian Bamboo / GitLab CI pipelines or anything like this, you should check these tools thoroughly. If they depend on a specific "origin/master" branch, you might have to change their settings, too.
I work in AX 2012, in Product Information Management List Page is there any way to convert from Product subtype to product master subtype? what is the process while releasing the produt/ product mastersubtype?
I'm trying to learn how HD wallets work internally by writing javascript code that can derive child keys from parent keys. So far, the only thing I've been able to do is convert a BIP39-generated seed to a master key and chain code. I can do that successfully.
Now I would like to convert the master key to an extended key, the long string that starts with xprv. I'd also like to know how to derive child keys from these, and obtain the private key for signing with any of the accounts.
