Hey there all...

Can anyone comment on the quality of the Japanese "AeroTact" line of PG
harnesses? I would also be curious as to how many people would be interested in
purchasing similar harnesses (New) at a very reasonable price. If there is
enough interest I might be able to arrange a good deal for several units
("Classic Model" with speed system).

If you have an interest please get in touch with me at mic...@zeus.ats.qc.ca
and I'll promptly get back to you.

Mickey

Well I'll be damned...Folks we have a zenophobe in our midsts ;-) With a
french name like Marc (not Mark) I would have expected you to be a little more
appreciative of those of us who speak both french and english. I for one am
proud to be bilingual.....Oh you meant biWingual...oops, sorry, we now return
you to your regularly scheduled diatribe....

Anyone for a nice thread on WAIVERS????

Mickey

P.S.: I am considering taking up both PG and HG. PG seems to be a little more
convenient for travelling.

P.P.S: I was travelling in Asia this past summer and found a PG manufacturer
who could produce PG and HG harnesses at rediculously low prices. In quantity
I could produce and ship anywhere in the world (make a bloody nice profit) and
still sell to you for 1/2 the price of retail! I guess you're not interested
are you Marc?

Speaking of harness quality, I bought my 6th PG harness recently
and got by far the best quality and price. It was made by Ascendair
at (909) 943 2129 which I've heard is a small S. California operation.

It is sooooo comfortable, and so much more rugged than the others.
Maybe someone else can comment on this harness or company.

cheers, John Thorvaldson

John,
Is this the one that made by Chris Knoll??? I had a chance to test
the Harness that are currently made by by Chris Knoll the last time I was
down at Marshall and I like it very much. He was asking for $700. Is
this the same one that you have purchased?

Rumor has it that the Ascendair harness MAY soon be manufactured by
Wills Wings, as the harness has become far more successful than a one
man company can handle. A great harness to go with the best wing, the
Swing Minoa, also carried by Wills.

Hi Kinsley. I'm not sure of the name of the maker, but he told my my
design was now superseded with the center leg strap anchor more to the
rear and at least the option of quick release buckles. Mine was cheaper
due to this.

I think harness design is underappreciated - when it's the right geometry
your control and enjoyment is so much better. This one is great,
although I spent a lot of time fine tuning the strap adjustments. For
some reason it feels much different in the air than hung from rafters
(maybe I don't have the L-R riser spread simulated right).

By the way I met an ex-SLO Atiks-2 pilot moving from your turf to
Texarkana - Gary K. Don't feel bad for him; he may have nearby mountain
and towing possibilities he wasn't aware of.
