Which radar detector to buy?

I know this thread has been covered a million times on this newsgroup, but
having taken a brief hiatus and reentered the market for radar detectors, I
thought I'd consult you people.

The following four radar detectors are in the DAMARK catalog I have:

1. Whistler 880 wide band radar detector, detects X, K, and expanded Ka; $69.99

2. Whistler 1130 4-band radar detector with laser detection, detects X, K, Ka
wideband and laser; $99.99

3. Whistler Super-Wideband Radar/Laser Detector; $169.99

4. BEL 518i (what is it, a Beemer?) Super-Wideband with Laser, detects X, K,
Super Wideband Ka and laser; $149.99

The prices are discounted, so that's a start. Anyway, which of the above is
the best kind? I hear that both Whistler and BEL are good, but that BEL is
slightly better. Anyway, have you any suggestions?

whistler=shit, and they leak big time and set off other detectors.

bels false a lot on superwide ka...i've had several and so have my friends...

check out valentine one, cobra trapshooter4, cincinati microwaves passport(
which looks *exactly* like the cobra) and unidens 9000w-1 or 9100sw(these
are both the same exact detector but due to marketing crap some are sold
mail order others at different department stores). walmart has the 9000w-1
for $128, service merchandise has the 9100 for $158, both are 4band and have
leds to show which alert is going off. btw, both unidens are metal-cased and
sheilded...so they are detector dectector proof!
