HELP with AUTO Transmission Car

Hi everybody,

I have an Honda Accord with Auto-transmission (4-speed). Some friends
suggest me to shift to NEUTRAL every time I stop at traffic lights.
Is this way better or leaving at D3 or D4 shift is better?? I really
wanna an explanation from somebody who knows the mechanics of car!

Yeah, and when you're passing another car, use "P" for "pass". Just
kidding! :-)

But seriously, now... Leaving it in drive (whether D3 or D4) at a light
as opposed to neutral won't make much of a difference, but if you're
stuck in some HEAVY traffic, it's usually beneficial to use neutral when
you're stopped for a long period of time... .
