Hello to the group!

Just a quick announcement to let you know a bit about Diamond Triumph
Auto
Glass. We are the third largest (and the largest privately owned)
automotive
glass service company in the United States. We are now on-line providing
on-line scheduling, quotes, store locators, and links to insurance,
commercial and other automotive related sites.

Visit us at: http://www.diamondtriumphglass.com

We would love to hear from you! I personally manage the site, and often
feel
as though I live on-line. If you have specific auto glass questions,
have a
related site we could link to, we are very excited about joining the
on-line
community.

Thanks for reading!

Amy, if you are doing business on the web (and you're marketing to Jeepers)
it would be nice to buy mail-order. Us Jeep types like to do things
ourselves, and I would very much like to have a piece of glass show up via
UPS and maybe even sell me an installation kit, all for a cheaper price
than I can get walking into a store like a guy in a suit.

Don,

Selling glass by mail order would most certainly be difficult in our current
heirarchy, but I *DO* hear you. I am a Jeep owner myself - just sold my 1987
AMC Wrangler (I was always frustrated by parts people who insisted AMC never
made a Wrangler - when I was working for an AMC dealer in 1987), but only
after replacing all the exterior body parts on our own from the A-pillar
back, and we currently have a 1989 Wrangler with a 6 banger.

We do sell glass without installation. If you are looking for the right
"script" to use when talking to our glass shops, just say you do some body
work on the side and you would like to have the glass, a molding and two
tubes of urethane delivered. One of our trucks will stop by with the stuff -
no problem. Certainly, with the right products, a Wrangler winshield has to
be one of the easiest to install - and seemingly one of the biggest stone
magnets too!!!

It is my impression that my company makes its "money" on having a well
established and managed distribution system. Since we cover nearly 50% of the
continental US, I can't see us paying someone to deliver glass. We should have
all of the Cont. US covered by the end of the year 2000.

If you want to order "like a body shop" over the net, just put "new
commercial account" and "delivery only" somewhere in the form - such as after
your name, or just e-mail me directly, and I'll have a sales rep or store
manager call you.

Sorry for the long winded thread - hope that helps.

I'm sorry. I had a typo in my identity.
My correct reply address is not above:
mailto:webm...@diamondtriumphglass.com

I had diamondtriumphlgass.com - which won't work real well.

Thanks for reading.
