Hello People,

After just reading this months issue of R&T I spotted a new license plate cover
on page 201. It is advertized as the Eliminator. The most important thing I
noticed was that it is stated as being a "clear plastic lens, that turns
translucent at known camera angles, using the latest leticular plastic
technology".

I have seen the other popular plate covers (Chimera etc). The problem with
these is that they are smoked plastic, not clear, and when seen at an angle,
are totally black, and even from straight on are smoky. This attracts too
much attention from the cops. Here in
Alberta, Canada, a plate cover = $20 fine. A friend drove for two months
before being stopped. If the cover was clear we highly doubt that the cops
would notice.

My question is: Is the eliminator truly clear plastic ? Even at an angle
does it attract attention by changing color ala chimera, or is it a subtle
translucent effect ?

If anyone has seen one, or owns one could you please e-mail me with a response.

Thanks in advance.
