Diaphram Pressure Regulator

Hi

I have a 1989 VW Fox and the hose has been missing awhile off of the Fuel
Pressure Regulator. I believe this hose goes from there to somewhere, I
cannot find though, in the Air Filter Box. Can somebody help me on this,
and I cannot find the hole in the air filter box.
