Many thanks

Good pointer, trouble is I need statistics/date for the E34 which is a 1994 540i
Any pointers to earlier data?
Thanks
Larry
German car magazines tend to do offset barrier crash tests of cars;
try digging through old issues of Auto Motor und Sport, for example.

Maybe you should contact the german automobile club ADAC (www.adac.de) and
the german car magazine auto motor sport (Fax No. +49 7 11 1 82-19 58),
They have started to perform crash tests 20 years ago and should be able to
provide some data. Maybe they can also provide you some information on cars
you can compare with (MB e-class)

I did - they were not interested in helping since I guess, parallel
imports of cars eats into their bottom lines. I also tried BMW Germany
- while they have responded to e-mails, and even asked for the VIN of
the car, in the end they didn't provide anything useful either. Makes
me wonder if they just don't want to help and to protect their local
dealers
