are ford and mazda truck parts interchangable

does anybody know if you can swap a 84ford ranger 2.8liter
V6 engine and auto transmissionand put in a 84 mazda B2000
2.0liter engine and 5 speed transmission will in bolt in?
Please let me know!

No, it's going to require fabrication.

The Ford & Mazda mini-pickups didn't become interchangeable
until they started sticking B2300 (etc.) badges on Fords and calling
them Mazda... talk about shooting yourself in the foot - I'd rather
have the Mazda 2.2 that came in the early-90's Mazda trucks than
the 2.3 Ford mill. On the other hand, a Ford 4X4 'Mazda' is
infinitely better than the Mitsubishi 4X4 'Mazda' that was being
sold to the uninformed as a Mazda.

I thought the Ford Courier and Mazda B2000 and earlier trucks
shared parts.

Dunno, but I found this engine swap page which might be helpful:

It talks about Miata engines mostly, but it also mentions the
'84 B2000 engine.
