Anyone heard of Jacob's Electronics?

Both of those are still around. You may be confusing them with Mallory
which was recently purchased by the Echlin Group (parent company of Mr.
Gasket and a host of other companies).

Jacobs is still around as of a couple of weeks ago. I can't say for sure
what happened since then.

Sorry, but Jacobs Electronics had no connection to or with Mallory, unless
they were subsequently bought by Mallory. Both were operational the last
time I heard of Jacobs. I happen to have a couple of their (Jacob's)
ignition systems and would like to contact them, but I can't find them.

Could you please tell me where you heard of them a couple of weeks ago?
They are not in the phone book in the area that they used to be located in.
I have a couple of Jacob's ignition systems and would like to talk to them.

I know this is gonna start a flame war and that is not my intention, but
I strongly caution anyone contemplating handing over their hard earned
money to Jacobs Electronics please beware: They business/customer
relations tactics are underhanded and they do not stand behind their
products, to say the very least. They do not disclose their return
policy prior to the purchase on many of their items, and you will end up
returning a product x amount of times until they "get it right."

I have had first hand dealing with the company, and I urge anyone who
does not have money to burn to avoid their products, at least their
headlight brightener kit and certain ignition system "enhancers."
