I beleive they use clip-on weights (which is why chromed rims
are no longer allowed).

Goodyear does all the tire mounting and balancing.

Those aren't actual chrome, but silver powder coating.

The other colored wheels you see on other teams' cars is powder
coating too, just with matte finishes. Unlike chrome, powder coating
doesn't weaken the underlying metal.

I'm aware of what powdercoating is, been doing it "on the side" for 15
years... not sure about what the actual track cars run, but the "show" cars
they like to park at the local NAPA when they are in town for Martinsville
have chrome wheels...
