Local Tv station did a piece on it.
Ohh by the way, put your money on Green Bay taking the Superbowl.
The Durango 95 purred away real horrorshow. A nice warm vibratey feeling all
through your guttiwuts.
Yea, we lost the game, lost a player, overall a bad start to the season.
But, I went anyway. I sell most of my game tix for the Panthers, but try to
go to most Monday or Thursday night games (which are very few, I admit).
Funny you mentioned DJ, I ran into him before the kickoff. Well, long enough
to say "Hey", didn't want to go into the points deal and missing the
Chase...he seemed fairly laid back. I didn't realize more drivers were
there, but it makes sense, a Monday night game is easier to go to for guys
that work most Sundays I imagine and most of these guys live right up I-77
from the track, near Lake Norman.
DJ is a friend and was a partner of Farvre in a Busch car a few moons back.
Sounds familiar. I just figured he was taking advantage of being able to
actually catch a game while he was in town.
I still threaten to sell my Panther PSLs every single year, but still have
them as of now. They just aren't getting much use and me only going to the
occasional Monday or Thursday night games...there's a bunch of us charter
PSL buyers that apparently still have them, same vehicles in the reserved
lot every time I go.
Sorry our Packers handed your team their ass last night. :-)
Put your money down on GB .................. this seasons Superbowl winners.
:-)
The Carolina Panthers were PRETENDERS in 2003. Everyone knows that NFL stands
for NORTHEAST FOOTBALL LEAGUE. TIA
Semper Fi
Hey that's ok. We made it to the Super bowl last year so I figure it'll take
us years to regain that form.
Besides, I severed most all ties to Charlotte when we sold the Lake Norman
condo to get the log home, just haven't put much effort into selling my
rights to those seats at the stadium. (Nice seats too, up on the Club Level)
I really have just lost most interest in the NFL anyway, don't know why. And
had lost interest prior to our playoff run last year, so go figure. The team
is good for Charlotte and the Carolinas so I support it when I can, but I
don't run down there to every home game. Hence me being very willing to part
with the seats when the right situation presents itself.

LOL! Good one Scott. Being from NC, and a Panther semi-fan, I'd have to
agree with ya, except the pretender part. I mean they did get to the SB at
least.

Just a little joshin', Sim. I'll tell you what though, there's nothin' like
college football Southern Style. Our CT Huskies are just beginning to get a
taste of big time D1 football and I can only hope it gets a fraction of the
stature that you guys have down yonder. We've already made a few small steps
with recent wins over Indiana, Iowa State, Wake Forest and Duke. Check us out
later this year on National TV. I think it'a a national broadcast this Friday
night against Boston College. Then we have a night game on ESPN against Pitt
and a night game against West Virginia (that'll be a tough one!). Also we are
on early Thanksgiving morning against Ruthers. Keep an eye on our 6' 5", 235lb
QB Dan Orlovsky. He is projected as a future NFL starter.
Semper Fi
Uh, that would be RUTGERS. I hear the Ruthers are a bunch of sissy-boys.
Semper Fi
THA NORTHEAST IS GONNA MAKE IT TWO IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, but Boston is the incorrect answer.

Ya'll welkome to travel to KNOCKSVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We like new visitors, too.

Kerry voted for that, before he voted against it.

Plus you have TED NUGENT kicking field goals!!! How cool is that!?! Seriously,
mark down the two ESPN/ESPN2 night games featuring my beloved Yukon Huskies. We
have a top-notch facility and a decent team. The games are Thursday night,
Sept.30th, against the Pitt Panthers and Wednesday night, Oct.13th against the
W.Va Mountaineers.

LOL! That's all and good, but I wouldn't brag about beating Dook at any time
the past few years. Haven't they gone 0-10 for each of the past 3 years? No,
wait, I think they beat UNC (argh) last year. (I think we may have gone 1-9
last year on the gridiron, and we're silently mounting an "Oust Coach
Bunting" campaign amongst us younger Rams club Members).
Up until the "expansion" that started this year, we were pretty much a
basketball conference. Yes, FSU came in about a decade ago, but they're like
95-4 against ACC teams up until now...adding Miami, VT, and BC (I think
Boston College is coming in too, next year or so) will change the face of
ACC football, no doubt. And was the purpose of the expansion. They will,
however, need to step up the b-ball programs if they want to hang during the
winter though... ;-)
And I can take joshing, even good natured but hard core ribbing. It's all
the hatred and name calling that happens here that irks me...so josh away.
I'm a Carolina and Earnhardt fan, I'm used to it.
Be careful to anyone traveling here for that fooseball game ($ to Cathy
Bates - Waterboy). There was a killin at the last NC State home game here a
couple weeks 'o go. Drive-by style, in the lot during the pre-game
tailgating festivities...a couple of good ole local boys didn't take too
kindly to a couple of yankees for taking their parking space and commenting
on their wimin. Kinda sad really. Us North Carolinians are typically docile
in nature, I donut getit.

LOL! You guys. You all aren't into fantasy football by any chance are you?
If so, PUH-LEEZE tell me you aren't like my buddies here, where it takes a
few days to get over the hangover from "draft day"? ;-) I went to a draft a
couple of weeks ago (dissinterested 3rd party, and thusly, draft director)
and by the end of the night, we had to move people out of the way to get to
the fridge, the bathroom, the whole deal. I honestly don't know how they
made it through 15 rounds before starting to pass out.....LOL! At least the
burgers and dogs were good. And all these cats were old like me, all in
their mid-30s. It was the funniest sight, grown men, fathers/husbands at
least half of them, that drunk...ah, memories...I still have them. Can't
comment on my buddies. Is that why you write down all the picks, so you'll
remember them the next day? hehe

No, not me. I have played before, however. You are correct, draft day
is the experience. After that, the fun isn't as great.
HTH
Most Buckeye fans will likely shoot back! ;-)
