Tony comments, "Jodi and I are very happy. We have been dating for a
while and finally decided to take that big step, I couldn't be happier.
OK, maybe if I won a NHRA National event, but ONLY then!" "If our track
record is anything like my parents, we will have a long and happy
marriage...they are going to be celebrating their 31st anniversary in
October."
Gillig will sit out the next event in Reading, Pa to regroup their efforts
for the following event in Topeka, KS. Tony states, "We were so psyched
in Indy when Friday night we put our Oldsmobile in the number 12 spot.
But as the weekend progressed we slipped down to 21 in spite of our
efforts, with no major improvement. It was a big let down!"
The racing season is coming to a close soon which will give this
determined family racing team a chance to regroup and redefine.
