Check me on this, but I don't recall Hamilton's empathy in 2020 when he
won the championship with three races remaining after the Turkish GP...

..or in 2015.

Hamilton: “It’s never great when the season finishes early. Even when I’ve
experienced having it finish early in places like Mexico [in 2017 and
2018]. For you as the one individual, it’s great. But for the actual sport,
it’s not spectacular”.

Unless you can find quotes from his earlier years, all that is is
self-serving "I want to look good" bullshit.

Nor any empathy when he took the title from Massa in the last 10 seconds
of the season.

A championship he would have already have won if it were not for the
blatant fix of Spa

"Never ascribe to malice what can be adequately explained by
incompetence"...

..or something very much like that.

I'm very, very leery any time anyone claims that there was a "blatant fix".

The only incident I can remember that really seems was a fix is the time
that Alain Prost deliberately ran Senna off at the entry to the chicane
in Japan in 1989

(And yes: it absolutely WAS deliberate. I've seen the overhead footage
and it is absolutely clear that Prost took a line which would have put
him completely off track had Senna not been there to hit.

I agree about the Prost/Senna incident. Senna was initially blamed
(especially by Balestre) because Prost’s move was rather subtle and it did
not become apparent what he had done until the overhead footage was
available.
As regards Hamilton at Spa, he did, in fact, give the place back but Mosley
(who had a long-running feud with Ron Dennis remember) decreed that he did
not give it back “enough”. I was so outraged at the time that I gave up
watching F1 for the rest of the season.

Perhaps not a fix but a definite change to the interpretation of rule
resulting in a significant change in the standings.
the refusal to allow an appeal on the grounds that "In race penalties
cannot be appealed" despite the penalty being applied post race also shows
the Ferrari Bias.
