Apparently Blaster Bates, a British explosives and demolition
specialist, was once removing tree stumps with dynamite close to the
corner. Upon the first detonation, a courting couple were seen to run
at speed and in some disarray from the cover of a bush or bank nearby.
Closer investigation followed after a safe interval and Bates and his
colleague discovered an item of lady's underwear in the brook. This
resulted in the name of the corner.

The accent is Cheshire.
Love it! Thanks for that. I'm in the process of trying to find more of his
stuff. There's an MGEP video available on TheBox that I'm downloading but
wouldn't mind some audio tracks. I'm one of 15 leechers on a torrent of an
audio album at Demoniod where everyone has 0% and I guess is just hoping a
seeder will come along.
I guess I could delve into the dark arts of capturing youtube stuff,
although last time I tried that it didn't work, even after 4 hours messing
with it. Perhaps it's different now? I don't like just using youtube much,
it's too ephemeral (not to mention data is expensive here in NZ, you get
charged by the MB/GB). Hence I like the 'download once, use many' methods of
getting content.
Cheers,

Saw Blaster live about 20 years ago, still makes me LOL.
