Sandrine Gros d'Allion has been his girlfriend since at least 1994; I
assume she's also French Canadian, and she was attending college last
year (don't know if she still is).

I've never heard this, but I _do_ know that David Coulthard's girlfriend
is from Winnipeg also.

As far as I know, she has done a bit of 'cross-ponding' between Quebec
and France/Monaco, not unlike Jacques. She has been living in Montreal
for the last couple of years, studying communication at Concordia
University.
The way I heard it is that Jacques and her met when they were teenagers.
I saw the two of them at Trois-Rivieres in 1993 and they were obviously
going out together at that time...

Well, according to Jacques himself (in the newspaper), Sandrine was with him
in Argentina. Now wether it is the same Sandrine or not I don't know. But
the Sandrine he was with while in IndyCars was going to school in Montreal,
about 5 mins. walk from where I work. And no, I've don't know her personally.
But I do share Jacques birthday, though...

It's the same one, I caught a glimpse of her in the pits during race
coverage. She was with Damon's wife.

Sports Illustrated covered this in a story about Michael's F1 season. His
wife was blamed for his poor performance in F1.
