Safety car should emerge from other pit end

Re Rosberg today in Hungary (and in Monaco and Germany re effect of the Safety Car on the leader's place in the lead sometimes etc)

The Safety Car should block the Pit Entrance until the leader comes around, and then drive onto the main straight - thereby opening the Pits and giving the leader first choice option over whether to enter or not.

Certainly would be fairer in all circumstances, unless you think creating a mixed field (like today) creates a better race as a spectacle.

Hmmm... depends on where that other end is.

The pits usually EXIT onto the main straight (just about at Monaco)
but the entrance may be prior to the straight. Donington used to
have a strange pit entrance and in '93 Senna clocked the fastest
lap of the race when he drove into the pits, found his team weren't
ready and just drove down the pit lane and back onto the course.

Probably the only way to have a consistent rule is the SC leaves from
the EXIT.

Besides, imagine this scenario
1) Erricsson spins
2) Sutil and Kvyat see what has happened, realise the SC is going to
come out and dive into the pits.
3) OH NO! There's a bloody great Mercedes coming the other way.
