Notes: A brand new track so everyone was learning. Mark Webber was the first car out on
the circuit, while Jaime Alguersuari set the first time. Several drivers explored the
vast run-off areas without damage. Adrian Sutil had a brake problem that kept him in
the garage until the final 20 minutes. Predictions on lap times were around 1'46s, so
they have already shaved 2s off that.
Trivia of the day - Abu Dhabi means 'father of the gazelle'

Notes: The session began in daylight, but the Sun set during the session with the powerful
track lighting taking over. Since the first session the wind had moved around through 180
degrees, so what was a tail wind became a head wind. Adrian Sutil had brake problems early
in the session and wasn't able to do as much running as he might have. Robert Kubica
suffered an engine failure which ended his session. BMW Sauber were using the oldest
engine in Kubica's inventory, which already had over 2,200 km on it. The top time changed
hands frequently in the first 20m, but Hamilton soon rose to the top, and remainded
there until the final few minutes when his team-mate bettered his time.

Notes: Jaime Alguersuari had to sit out the entire hour after suffering some kind of
hydraulic problem. Several drivers visited the run-offs but no one hit anything solid -
except, perhaps, for Vitantonio Liuzzi who nudged the barrier with no apparent damage.

On the basis of all this, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Kovi
still at McLaren next year.
