Car dynamics

I am writting a car game but need some information on modelling car dynamics
to help with

acceleration
braking
weight shifting
cornering (skidding around corners)
etc.

and also how these would relate to various cars such as

touring cars
formula one cars
indy cars
normal road cars

The undisputed "Bible" is "Race Car Vehicle Dynamics" by Bill and Doug
Milliken. Dave Kaemmer and the Papyrus crew relied on this book heavily
while they were writing GPL.
For aerodynamics, I would reccomend "Aerodynamics of Road
Vehicles" by Wolf-Heinrich Hucho and "Race Car Aerodynamics: Designing for
Speed" by Joseph Katz.
