Other than a cosmetic overhaul and some enhancements to the Profile creation
process, I've fixed some bugs, and added a useful feature to flip/invert the
Gas and/or Brake axis when in Separate pedal mode. I added this feature
because of Colin MacRae Rally 2 and Mercedes Truck Racing did not like the
axis orientation of the Hyper which by default is :-
Brake (Z axis) Low to High
Gas (Rz axis) High to Low
This will allow you to customise the axis orientation on a global or per
Profile basis - its up to you. You will now find that the Edit button is
available for the "Default" profile. This will allow you to set the
orientation of the Gas and Brake axis used by all Profiles you create that
are setup to use either "Default Calibration" or "In-Game Calibration". If a
Profile is set to use "Custom Calibration" you will be able to invert the
Gas and Brake axis to suite the game, thus overriding the "Default" profile.
The best settings I've found is to set the Default Profile to :-
Invert Accelerator = Off
Invert Brake = On
This forces the Hyper to report the following :-
Brake (Z axis) High to Low
Gas (Rz axis) High to Low
You will have to recalibrate and and reassign the axis in all games to take
on these new settings because the Brake axis now goes the same direction as
the Gas, but you should only have to do this once.
I've tested this against the following games, and all work in Separate Gas
and Brake mode...
GPL
Nascar 3 & 4
TOCA2
GP3
Swedish Touring Car Championship 1 and 2
Rally Masters
Colin MacRae Rally 2
Mercedes Benz Truck Racing
Anyway, experiment a little and find the best settings to suite the games
you play. Let me know if you have any probs or suggestions.
Hope you all had a good Christmas and have a great New Year.
Cheers,
Les.
