Hi,

I am planning to buy DTR. Right now, my PC is a notebook Toshiba 2595. It is
a Celeron-400 with 128 Mb of memory. Even having a D3D video (Trident
Cyber), it is the crapiest thing I have ever seen. I am runnign N3 in it and
have, in software rendering mode, with inside view around 30~31 fps and
25~26 with outside near view. I have DX 6.1 installed.

Will DTR run OK in this configuration? What kind of fps may I expect? Does
it run with DX 6.1 or it requires 7.0?

Regards,

Brian

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't it be better to run N3 in D3D mode since
your video supports it? I would think that would up your frame rates over
software mode.

Not with this video board. I tried it. The frame rates drop to 7~8 and the
graphics are missing a lot of textures. Besides that, the board has only 2.5
mb of memory, with I think is small to todays games. Software rendering runs
perfect.

Brian, it should run ok but I don't know how much detail and
how many cars you will be able to run. My nephew has something
similiar to you and although I didn't get into details he said it ran
fine.
