Hi, Am I the only one who like this game very much? It is
rare to see a post on this great F1 team management game,
despites minor bugs, it is quite entertaining!!! We already
know that a patch for the game is out but does anybody know
if they still work on the game (patch or version 2) at
Microprose? John Wallace if your reading this post wouldn't
be a good idea to add a section on GPM in your Sim Racing
News page?

I have GPM and love it! It was a refreshing difference from the
driver-only type racing games.

I love the game and wish there was more support for it. The main reason
I think for teh lack of support is the extreme putting down of the game
due to a few flaws. I've seen the whole bug list may have encoutered
only two or three of them.

I contacted MP regarding bugs that are still present after the first
patch. They told me a second patch (2-3 months ago) is in process.

--- First, Yves, no you are not the only one who is enjoying this sim! I
think it's great so far.

--- Steve,

This is good to hear, though with all that's going on over at
MPS these days, it may be a *long* time coming. If you hear any more though,
let us know.

I enjoy GPM also, although I'm playing it in easy mode. I edited the teams, engines,
etc and have started a season managing Jordan. I have David Couldthard and Eddie Irvine
driving for me and they finished 1 - 2 at the opening race. I still have no sponsors
interested yet.

I am looking to for as many people I can find who are interested in Grand Prix Manager,
especially artists and programmers, to make a new setup file inluding all the new Car
colors, drivers and thier helmets plus anything else that would make it more like this
season. If possible we could even make real sponsors instead of the fake ones they use
in the game.

I also am a big fan of this game. I have been playing it regularly since
February. The bugs exist but the game is still a challange if setup
correctly.

--- Sounds like you may need to seek the update patch. Try MPS' homepage
or ftp.cdrom.com:/dresden/games/patches/gpmus<something>.zip or whatever.
Sponsors should *then* be ready to sign right away.

Could someone email me and tell me how to get a copy. I have looked in
some computer software stores but I have had no luck.

Paul,
Had the same problem (Atlanta). It doesn't seem to be available in the
Southeast. However, Computer Express (http://www.cexpress.com) still had
some if you want to try mail order. Other companies might still have
some. Wherever you choose to get it, you'll also need to download the
patch from either the MPS web site or BBS. Hope this helps...
