GPL - almost stable

Regarding my earlier post when I couldn't get GPL 3DFX to run at all on my
Win98 machine.....

Finally managed to get the game working, got to the calibration screen and
hung every single time. Also, the mouse cursor left a "ghost" of itself
flashing before it crashed. I managed to fix this by installing Glide2x.dll
v2.4 and ticking several boxes on the Glide properties screen in the display
control panel, any recommendations about what should and shouldn't be ticked
here?

The problem is that now when I play the game it intermittently freezes the
screen, the sound keeps going but the screen and keyboard has locked up
completely. Also, sometimes the screen turns blocky (but this has happened
on a few other games as well).

I am going to try Glide 2.5 tonight which everyone seems to recommend as the
best version for GPL. Any more suggestions would be gratefully
received......how about the performance slider on the voodoo properties?

Sounds like it could be a heat issue. See if underclocking the card
reduces or eliminates the lockups.
