I've genuinely got GP3 original , but found a no-cd patch because I don't
want to p*ss about hogging my cdrom.

I've downloaded all the main AlphaF1 textures & editors but want to install
the latest carshapes into the game. It needs the GP3decrypt file running
first. This file needs an original GP3 installed ( the .exe & .icd ) however
when I grab them from my orginal cd and overwrite the patched files , it
still doesn't work.

anybody been through this prob and solved it ???
IJ

My problem too. I notice that GP3Edit is unusable with this
configuration. It does not let you select the ICD file instead of the
.exe.

I've been through this prob and couldn solve it either. I'm using the
class-version of gp3.exe as a base now.

If you want to run GP3Edit with NoCD Gp3.exe and a decrypted GP3.exe
(renamed to GP3.ICD to run with the NoCD .exe) the following no brainer
batch file (put in the GP3 dir) works for me.

call ren gp3.exe gp3.ex
call ren gp3.icd gp3.exe
call C:\gp3files\GP3edit\gp3edit.exe
call ren gp3.exe gp3.icd
call ren gp3.ex gp3.exe

Warning - I suggest you back up your files first unless you are sure you
know what you are doing :-)

regards
mart
