Hey there peeps.. sorry I haven't been on in the past couple HOURS.. :-)
But.. here's the situation. I got my clutch done today.. And it doesn't
work.. ok.. here's the scoop. The guy owns an 83RX7..so I figured I trusted
him. He was a good guy and all.. (as well as a rotary certified mechanic). I
spent the WHOLE day at clutch doctors (8 hours). Watched them put cluthes in
Jettas/Hondas/etc... Then came my car after the first 5 fucking hours..
okay.. Nobody is bitter!! (Oh my god you have no idea). Well, They
disconnected the negative battery lead, unbolted the driveline and a decent
amount of oil spilled out of the tranny (I would say, 6-8 ounces). I kinda
thought he would re-fill that later.. anyways.. They resurfaced the flywheel
after they got the old crappy clutch out, did a fairly decent job from what
I saw. Looked all perty and shite.. They put it back on, installed the Bonez
Street Comp clutch kit, re-installed the tranny, driveline, exhaust, etc...
they didn't put that fluid back in.. When they dropped the car, it wouldn't
go into gear NEARLY as easily as it did before with the BAD clutch. You had
to FORCE it into 1st.. Sometimes you had to shut the car off to put it in
first or reverse. They said it could be due to the milling, they could have
not milled it enough making the disc constantly engaged and therefor not
letting the tranny shift. This is true.. when you push the clutch to the
floor, and let off the brakes, the car would move.. it was constantly
partially engaged. The dude was really cool, and said he would work on it
some more. So I'm going to take it to him tomorrow morning, and get a ride
back SOMEHOW.

Anyways. I want to know what you people think about this.. since you people
have done clutches before and know a little more than I do.. (A lot
actually). Please. Info... now! :-)

Oh yeah.. I watched them.. they did the whole thing right.. pilot bearing,
seal and throwout bearing.. The only things I can think of is the flywheel
being resurfaced not enough or incorrectly, OR... that the parts were
defective..
Some other people suggested adjusting the linkage below the clutch pedal.
They say that it has a LOT to do with the not disengaging thing.. Just
thought I'd add that. gonna try this "solution" tomorrow.

I am Thinking that He took too much off the flywheel , more than likly what
he is doing or has done is adjusted the clutch slave cylinder so it Pushes
the fork farther out ( Commonly done )
