Have any you seen the advertisments (during HOT ROD TV mostly) of
the electric supercharger called Superpac? The ad claims up to
4PSI of boost and 40% more power on demand.
Now, I think it takes at least a few HP to drive a supercharger in
the first place and from the looks of it a 4" inch electric motor
just doesn't seem up to the task...
Any comments on whether it works as advertised?
Thanks!

Yeah, I saw those commercials. The fact that their ad claims "up to 4PSI"
worries me a little. I would guess it would only give like 2-3 PSI on your
typical V8. Note that the larger the engine, the lower the boost from this
little SC will be. Also, at $1300 (I think that's what they said), I would
rather spend a little extra and get a real SC. If the price was more like
$400, I might consider getting one for my Mustang. One nice thing about it
is you can hook it to a WOT switch and have full boost at low RPMs. You
wouldn't need to get up to 3500 RPM to have boost like you do with other
non-positive-dispacement superchargers.
