I know it's been asked and answered here before, but I just got the car,
so it wasn't an issue with me till now......(that's why i have to ask again).

I'm lookin at a large "night-glow" sticker sittin on the outside
of the back window, and it looks like it's been there for at least 10
years..........!

Any suggestions for a clean, safe removal of this hidious
thing...?.....

The best way that i have found, is to place the car in the shade, fill a ziplock
with ice and ice down the sticker until it is real cold. Then use a razor
blade to scrape the sticker off. Hold the blade pretty flat to the window.
The ice makes the glue less sticky. Once the sticker is removed, use rubbing
alcohol to remove any remaining residue. This has worked for any sticker I
have evr needed to remove.

Lighter fluid always works well taking off sticker adhesives...
pretty safe on glass. Don't get any on the paint.

Better yet, use adhesive remover. It's used at hospitals to remove
bandages, and my dealership used it to remove my pinstripe when I bought my
car. You'll need a razor to remove the bulk of the sticker, but the
adhesive remover will take off the residue.

Believe it or not, mayonnaise does a great job of removing labels
from glass jars, etc. Spread it over the sticker and let it sit for
a while. After a while, it scrapes off easily.

A single-edged razor blade is useful for getting most of the sticker off (you
can find these at paint/hardware stores; they're used for wallpapering). To
get rid of the remaining glue residue, try bug & tar remover, or maybe WD40.
Neither will harm the paint.
