This post can apply to all telemarketers actually.Think of some fun
way of your own to play with them.
But if you're going to play.....
Keep in mind
As humans our sole existence is to save big corporations money, and to
work more efficiently
This applies to telemarketers too!
Like the people paid to harass you at AUTOTRADER
So the object of the game is to keep them on the phone.
Go to hell AUTOTRADER

Record times, dates and names after three calls you have the right to stop
it. You can also have a trap put on your phone free for a month for proof
that they called.
I had to do this with AT&T. no more calls, and 2500 dollar richer. Plus
they cant call me for 10 years. Unless I do business with them again but I
wont, they pissed me off to much.
corporate america gotta love it

No small claims court? This sounds real easy.

I thought the new fed do not call laws says only once do you have to
them to put you on their 'do not call list'.
Autotrader always seemed a little high priced for me, but I guess from
what was posted, having to keep telemarketers on the payroll could
cause this. BTW, I have a littled bias feelings, since websites like
this were so high priced I thougth a lower priced site was needed; So,
I built one. http://www.CarFleaMarket.com

the national Dont not calls list takes 1 to 6 months to get your number
added to the list. The reason is a book is published quarterly for sales
and telemarketing people. police reports are reported as harassment and
takes about 2 to 3 weeks to clear up
hope this helped everyone

I will tell you right now that what they are doing is illegal. When
they call, tell them to put you on their DO NOT CALL list, and also tell
them if they call you again, that you will press charges.
If they still continue to harass you, call your local police department
and file a report. Get the case number. Call your local telco and
report the issue. They will either transfer you or give you the number
to their Annoyance Call Center. Give them the case number and the
police department. They will put a trap on your line free of charge.
You will have to maintain a log of times and days they call. When you
call back into the Annoyance Call Center, give them the times and dates
that you recorded earlier. Once there is enough evidence, they will
turn the information over to the police and the police will tell them to
knock it off, or refer the case to the DA for prosecution.
From what you have described, it seems to me that they have a Primary
Rate ISDN feeding into a switch on their end. That would explain how
they could block your number from calling them, but not send out any
caller ID. I don't know who your telco is, but see if they have
something called Selective Call Rejection and Privacy Manager.

God Bless Ya !
I'll be selling another car soon and was dreading the next wave and
assault of phone calls from these pests.
No, you didn't get $2500 by filing a "police report". How can you
possibly give such ridiculous information? The police have nothing to
do with possible FCC violations.
The only way is to file a report with the FCC. IF the FCC get enough
complaints, they may start actions against the company and eventually
fine them.
