...........Ted Bundy used a beetle to pick-up his victims (it's true!).
Don't know what year or color it was though.
......It would be a very 'collectible' bug, I would think.

Around 10 or so years ago, I remember seeing a picture of Ted Bundys 68 Beetle
as it was for sale for $25000.I think the guy selling it paid a couple of
hundred dollars for it some years earlier. It was a B/W photo but the car
appeared to be tan or white. Article said that the inside of the car was
totally ripped up, as law enforcement tore it up looking for clues and
information. I never did hear what happened to the car after that.

Hello People,
Anything Green. I know VW used several different shades,
although I do not know the real name of the color, my favorite
was the "M&M Green" they used - for what I think was a short
time. Don't see many of them anymore.
Good Day to All.

Ah, right. Yours is a '63, mine is a '98.
Dave
I hear '98 is a good model year for babies.

"I'm *not* a baby, I'm a big girl!" (while standing on tip-toes).
Good helper in the garage, though. She's helping me on my current resto
project (we're almost down to the shell), and she takes the parts as I
get them off the car, and puts them into the right box almost always,
and is very good at giving me the right tool when I ask for it (for
those which she can lift).
Great quality time - we both enjoy it a lot. And, by the time the
car is done, she may very well be old enough to drive it ;)

cool - L469 Anthracite Grey is a nice colour! Here is a picture I
took at a show of a '62 painted in Anthracite:

..........I think that I saw a Coral Red, mid-60's era bug at the
Litchfield, Conn. show last month.
I like the anthracite color Mr. Rose showed. And the old darker
greens.
