I've found this on a little silver plate behind the wheel under the
hood:

Made in Germany

Zul. Achslast KG 490
Hinten KG 730

But what's the color code?????

Hi Thomas,

As far as I know, I am German citizen, on the plate it does not contain
any information about the color of the car. I can't remember, because
mine is also restored and have now Porsche 911 color. I 'll have a look
again on my car or try to get information and will contact you again.

Why not ask Wolfsburg for a run down of your cars spec?

This is free, and gives you a load of other info on the car as well as the
original spec, and colour code. I'll dig out the address for you if you
can't get hold of it. I found it on the net one day.

Alternatively, tell me what colour your car is, e.g. Blue, and I can let
you know the paint codes made for the year in that colour.
