I just got rid of my dual Weber 40's and went back to a stock 34 PICT carb.
It seems to run great off idle but hesitates considerably starting out.
I've got a 1776 motor with an Engle 110 cam and oversized valves. The
stock pilot jet size is 55. Anyone have experience in this configuration
and can suggest what pilot jet to go to?
Should I go larger than the stock 127.5 main jet?

Two things to note, what type of distributor do you have? An 009 will cause a
flat spot, stumble, hesitation, etc...

The other thing is the stock carb will choke your engine at higher speeds.

machine the stock 26mm choke to 28mm
enlarge the stock main jet to 140 and air corrector to 120.
i ran with this setup for a long time.
Strong also in high rpm.
