In article <0221c012...@usw-ex0107-051.remarq.com>,

My fiance did, can't say anything less than WOW!
They gave the car a full final safety check, 2 year roadside
assistance for free, book of vouchers for free oil changes and
brake jobs, upgraded the stereo to a CD player for free...
can't say anything but good things! She has had the car for
almost a year and it has never disappointed her.

I bought my 97 SL2 from the Saturn dealer here in town. Wasn't even a
year old. Was plannig on buying a Z24 but changed my mind after the
service I recieved when I decided to check the local Saturn Dealer
out. It's been a great car and service, I hope to buy a new SC2 later
next year.

We researched a used Saturn 96 SL1. 11,000$

for 4K more "daughter" could have a new one. The price of used Saturns is so
high we must look at older ones to make a used one feasable.

Dau could not swing the +$4k -- we loaned her the $. The extra value received
in the 2000 is much greater than the 4k. The dealer was most helpful in
this.>Subject: Re: Anybody buy a used Saturn from a Saturn dealer?

Hah! When my girlfriend was looking for a used Saturn, the dealership
wanted $8,500 (not negotiable!) for a useD UP 95 Saturn SL1 with 85k
miles on it! I laughed in the guy's face. You can buy a 2000 Toyota
CE for $12k which would probably outlast a used Saturn (with 85k!) by
10 years.

Go to www.Edmunds.com and get various new car invoice prices so you
don't get ripped off by Saturn again.

If my car had more km on it when I bought it might have been a
different story. Though it only had about 4000km so it was practically
new but still used so the price was good. The same year car brand new
would have cost me a $1000-2000 more plus they added an extended
warranty for free. I wasn't even looking for a used car, I was looking
for a new car.

seems as if the used prices are
really high when compared to
new models.

Did you find that to be true?

My wife and I bought a used Saturn 3 years ago from a Saturn dealer in WA. I
thought the price of 6000 for a car that was totally in great shape was fair.
Especially when the new SL2 (which is what we got) was around 13000. The car
has just recently had its first hiccup, at 135,000 miles (and very tough city
miles at that).

I am, however interested in how the current used Saturn market is, so that I am
knowledgable when we go to get our new model (probably next summer).
