Lidar‘s high resolution and accuracy is used in the creation of many
maps. It is thus used in the conjunction with aerial photography .In
fact it is useful for mapping terrain models, including the
topography. Many high resolution counter maps could be easily jotted
down with the sensors of the Lidar. Even the speed of the wind and the
vertical distribution of the aerosol particles are made possible by
the Lidar.
