I couldn't get the link to work. I saw A black concept TJ with wood
sides and a hard top at Camp Jeep. It looked sweet. IIRC I got a few
pictures of it. Let me know if you want them, I'll scan them in. There
was a place for comments and I think I added that the rear window would
have to open.

My wife liked it too.

I bet AEV Conversions or TCV could make one for you. In all reality all
the TJ p-up was (iirc) a LWB TJ with the rear roll bars removed and a
short hardtop installed.

I tried to get an estimate on my TJ to lengthen it and got no response.

Maybe someone could forward this to DC.....Along with the Dakar, the Pick-up
version would be awesome in their line up.......I'm Still patiently waiting
for the Dakar to hit production. I would buy one of those in a heart
beat.....are you listening DC ?......The liberty is cute for women (no
offense) or the college crowd but we want real Jeeps !....Cheers

Which company did you try to get an estimate from? AEV has a sample
invoice on their website and TCV lists their packages.

I tried to get it from AEV. I had some specifics in mind that excluded
some of the things on the invoice. They way they package things made
determining what I needed a little more complicated. I wanted to
eliminate seats, lift-bumpers-tires (which I already have) and other
such items.

I kinda figured this vehicle was only a matter of time. Ever since i got my
'82 CJ 8 i've been saying Jeep was 20 years ahead of it's time, with these
hybrid SUV-puckup's and such.

How long until Chevy makes the El Camino again?

don't they have some retro 50's looking cruiser with a wooden bed. Or at least
a well publicized concept

time for one of bill's links,

Subaru is making a 4-door el camino, or brat or what ever you want to call it,

The Chevy vehicle is the SSR - supposed to be part truck, part roadster -
remaniscant of the 50 Chevy pickup witha MAJOR top chop.

The SSR looked sweet! It's got the small V8 in it and due out to the
dealers next year. Two seat convertible pick-up with a retro 40's style and
a hard covered bed. Nice ride. I've heard high 20's to low 30's but don't
quote me.
