the apex was a failed marketing ploy. i dont know what they were trying to
do with that sticker and the seats......i mean anybody that would want one
could just as easily buy a comparably equipped "x".....but its still a jeep
and a worthy starting point for an excellent trail rig.

APEX Special Edition Group:
Speakers - 7, Inc Subwoofer/Tweeters
Wheels - 15 X 7.0 Chrome
Tires - P225/75R15 OWL Wrangler AT
Seats - Ultrahide Cognac Bucket
Radio - AM/FM Compact Disc
Decal - Hood w/Logo
Didn't like the seats at first because they are orange ( or brown depending
on who you ask ) and I had assumed they would be gray like the rest of the
freeking interior. I have no idea what "Ultrahide Cognac" is and can't tell
if they are leather or vinyl or what. The seats have grown on me though,
with the top down it is a head turner, I get "Nice Jeep!" from about
everyone every time I stop for gas (oh and the ladies love it). The CD
player was the first thing to go, replaced by a MP3 player. I like the hood
logo personally but wish they would have called it something besides "Apex"
as that is also the name of the Walmart crap/cheap electronics line ( Apex
DVD / CD / VCR's at Walmart ) . Wheels / Tires replaced . At the time I
bought it my plans for it were different then they are now so most of the
reasons I got the Apex package no longer apply really other than I really
like the seats now and the speaker system is ok for me.

I think the Apex was the canadian version of the X. Didn't know the Apex
was available in the US. I looked at one here and the price was within a
couple grand of the Sport.
