Because they have the best all around bikes with high reliability and
reasonable prices. It's hard to find motorcycles that can do so much
for so many people very easily whether it's a 600 sport bike,
4-wheeler or big cruiser. I do hope to hell you didn't mean the
cars!!

I thought he meant the lawnmowers too!

Seriously, looks like troll bait to me........OK MR. Troll, lets
argue about Honda's being the best, and not being the best.
Hell, lets bring the Mustang into it too! WHy not, isn't that
where every damn Troll thread in here leads too? The Civic SI vs
the Mustang. I'm so sick of hearing you people start Bullshit
over nothing for the sheer fun of watching it unfold. NO one
ever said Honda's were the best, only that they last long, and
are reliable. To some, that isn't the best, acceleration is. And
lets face it, Honda's are not the fastest cars. That would
belong to A Mclaren F1.

Only zit faced teenagers with Civics believe that Honda is
the "best" Quit being an idiot and post something worth while.

People PLEASE don't respond to this person!

Honda makes a darn good lawnmower

Honda makes a darn good generator

Honda makes a darn good economy car

Honda makes a decent sport bike. (ducati, aprilla, certain yamaha models... etc... are all better)

Honda makes a decent cruiser bike. (harley is undoubtably better in terms of "what people seem to want.")

It all depends on what you are looking for....

To a person who likes trucks... honda doesnt make one.....
To a person who wants a nice luxury car... honda is crap.....
To a person who likes high output V8s in the neighborhood of 320HP.... honda is crap again.

Well, they have a couple of nice points.

They are very well designed, have excellent build quality and last for
donkey's years (if maintained properly).

Honda's sports cars also handle very nicely.

It's horses for courses though, it depends what you want the car/bike
for, your own driving style, the amount of power you expect from a 4
cylinder, if you like variable cams :) etc. etc.

I like Honda, because they are not scared to innovate and they produce a
quality product.

Mike.

You forgot about their outboard boat engines

the Acura RL looks very un-craplike to me

That's true, most of the Honda V8s put out well over 800
horsepower..(CART,F1, etc).

They make outboards? I did not know that, and I cant think of a boat Ive ever seen on the
lake that had one. The closest thing I can think of is the new Toyota boat with the Lexus V8
in it.

I was thinking more along the line of Benz, certain BMWs, Jaguar (ick), etc. The RL is quite a bit
below that line (in my humble opinion) Although its a darn nice car.

I was thinking of realistic engines that one can actually purchase in a "normal" car. Somehow the
V8s in the F1 are a little bit out of the average car drivers pocketbook. (not to mention I doubt
it would be street legal in any sense.)

They don't need no steenkin V8's to be in the neighborhood of 320HP....

I'm glad someone mentioned the generators...I'm sure anyone selling those
things got rich over the Y2K scare. My uncle bought one and never used it.
A powerline went down out here a couple of weeks back, and someone had to
remind him 3 hours later that he actually had one.

Yep...they are four-stroke (no smoke) and really quiet. They even have
one based on the Accord 4-cyl engine.
