Prelude 1984- where are the sunroof drain tubes?

My old Prelude sunroof is leaking a bit- the online manual at UK Honda
suggests blocked drain tubes are the likeliest culprit. The Haynes workshop
manual dunno nuffink.
I can't see any drain tubes- which I assume are on each corner. Can I reach
them without pulling the roof apart?
(It seems that the roof assembly has drain tubes because the roof is
designed to leak a bit- how quaint!)

This goes back aways for me, but there are drain tubes in each of the four
corners of the sunroof frame. I don't think you can reach the rear openings
in the frame, but you should be able to see the front holes. You should be
able to pour a little water down each and see if and where it trickles out.

But, if I remember my '84 vs '90, there are some rubber nipples on the
underside of the fender (either just ahead or rearward of the rear tires)
where I was able to clean out some trapped debris and the rear tubes drained
completely all over the garage floor!

Hope this helps. And yes, most sunroof seals do leak a little- that's why
it's important to keep those drain tubes clear.

Turned out the 1984 has rear drain tubes only- I pulled off the interior
trim, and the tube just seems to go into a body cavity. The water then comes
out through the body drain holes. I can't wait for the next heavy fall of
rain to see if it's fixed- accumulated dirt or leaves on the sunroof tray
looks like the culprit.

I suspect you fixed the sunroof problem by cleaning out the debris. Are you
sure there are not drain tubes at the front corners of the sunroof tray?
I'm looking at page 22-26 of the '84 Prelude Service Manual (First Edition-I
never throw manuals away!) and it clearly shows openings and tubes at both
front and rear. Maybe Honda planned to have them, but then cut corners.

Maybe I have the less-than-deluxe model- neither I nor my Honda mechanic
could find tubes in the front. However we could not find any exit through
the body either, or any fittings on the bottom end of the drain tube- the
drain just goes into the car body cavity and uses the little slots under the
car for drainage.
My car is an Australian model- I guess there are always variations in what
is supplied to various markets.
However on the plus side- for a 20 year old car it is remarkably reliable,
and still nippy enough when you put the foot down.
Although if any vintage car enthusiast would like to swap me for a new
Accord Euro, I'd consider it :-)
