Pretty much. But, the DX adds power steering; could be important. But as
I almost never use my rear wiper on my Si, I wouldn't worry about it if I
were you.
Let's see, the rear cargo cover is probably $100 or so, and an aftermarket
stereo of the quality that comes in the DX is probably $200 installed
(maybe even only $150). Power steering certainly is of some value; only
you can figure out *what* kind of value.
So the differences appear to be:
* power steering
* rear wiper/washer
* stereo w/clock
* rear magazine pocket (oooooo.....)
Is that worth the $1150 premium (sticker price)? Only the buyer knows for
sure. $300 for the stereo and cargo cover, don't worry about the wiper,
that leaves $850 of value for the power steering.

Actually, my 96 Civic DX hatchback did not even come with the
power-steering. One more thing on the DX though is body-colored rear
spoiler. It is nice but definitely not worth $850. All CX has a black
spoiler.
I wanted a CX so I can add much better aftermarket stereo/CD for less.
The stereo on the DX is only FM/AM radio. And it is a crap! But CX model
is real hard to come upon, always sold out due to its better value.

In Canada, the option package on the CX comes with tachometer - some thing
really important if you drive M/T. The power steering is always available
with A/T. Otherwise, the option package adds:
- power steering (on M/T)
- rear wiper/washer
- tach
- passenger side airbag
- 4 speaker radio (no cassette)
- upgraded interior upholstery
- cargo area cover
So I guess the CX with option package is the same as the DX in the US.
There is no DX hatchback in Canada.
