Most likely, you will have to re-set the indicator in the display.
Like the mechanical indicator in the dash of Hondas, which shows you
when to do maintainence (which you re-set with the ignition key),
you'll probably have to reset the stereo using a very small metal
rod (such as a bent paper clip) and push it into a hole in the stereo's face
to reset the indicator. I know that at least some of the Honda factory
stereos from the late 1980's were actually made by Alpine.

This is covered in the owner's manual - something like holding one of the
station buttons in while turning on the radio........... It's been 18 months
since i had to do it so i'm sorry if the details are somewhat fuzzy....
