just use model paint. your local hobby store should have a good

I don't have an answer for you, but I can say that I have
several interior trim pieces which have the brown paint
peeling off reveling the base red colored plastic. Oh,
it is a Civic Hatchback with a brown interior.

I believe that alot of people use the Sem's (sp?) product line. You should be
able to pick it up at a auto paint and supply store.
