I just saw the 1/4 drag times of the civic type r on the vtec temple
and god, that car is sooooooooooooooooo pathetic, 185hp? and only 2200lbs? and i can barely hit 15's? that sucks shit
civic type r deserves to be in the trash....what a waste.....i figured it would hit low 14's, but nope, it sucks...
lest anyone think this troll is looking for an argument, let me make things
clear: don't bother doing anything with this but killfiling it. if honda
ever brought the civic type-r to north america, then we could determine for
ourselves whether it is worth the asking price or not. as it is, we cannot
find out.
if you can't killfile, then take this as a good reason to upgrade your
newsreader.

Of course it is. If under 15mph, in 1st gear the car can accelerate
at about 0.45g, but the traction limit is at 0.56g (FWD 60% F/R weight)
then there is almost an advantage of 0.1g acceleration with a wheelspin
start. I can cut almost 1 sec of 0-60 by spining the wheels under 15mph.
