I need to test the continuity on my wire harness. I striupped it all down to
the wires and looked them all over(they appear fine) Except that the ground
from the alternator harness appears to have a small split in the plastic
How do i test the other wires to make sure they re still good?
This is my first wiring job so I am unexperienced thnx for any advice

Hey Jason,

First your going to need a continuity tester, then all you need to do is
follow the wires from one end to the other( the red with green stripe to the red
with green stripe, and so forth). If you have a break in the wire, or a short
between two separate wires, then the voltage will drop. if the voltage is
constant, then that wire is fine, mark it with a touch up paint brush, and move
on to the next one. Time consuming when you don't get new wiring. Also, you
might want to check to make sure you did not switch the two plugs on the starter
solenoid, as this too can fry your harness......

Hope this too is helpful
