I have been considering swapping out my 92 Gt's stock five spokes for the
Cobra R-style rim.

Unfortunately converting over to the five lug configuration discouraged me
from making the transformation.

That is until now. I have discovered that BBK, along with others, now
market this rim in a four bolt mounting configuration.

My car has been lowered approx 1.5 inches. Does anyone know If I where to
install these rims, with 245/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear tires, if
clearance would be a problem?

I understand that the kicker shocks need to be relocated due to the width of
the rims.

Has anyone had any experience with these rims on a pre-93 Mustang? What is
the max size rear tire which will fit on a lowered car without
rolling/cutting the rear fenderwell?

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I put 96 Cobra wheels on my 89 conv. w/ 245 in the front and 275/40 on the
back. The five-lug swap was easy. I reversed the quad shocks and it was done.
Minor tucking of the inside fender lip was necessary but not difficult.
