I have an Idle problem it pulsates from 500-1000 rpm just like a pluse.

I have been told it may be many things possibly my oxygen sensor.

Is there any tests that I can do to determine if it is the oxgen sensor or
not?

MAybe someone said it was the O2 sensor because they saw the glossy from
Bosch on some parts counter. Since the O2 sensor isnt used at idle, it's not
likely your problem.

The last time I saw the exact symptom you described it was a sticky IAC.
That's the Idle Air Control - which the computer uses to govern the idle.

HAs the problem started all at once
..or did it start as once in while and become more frequent?

I assume it is a Ford and Port Fuel Injection.. though you didnt say.

Too make sure it's not the IAC buy some carb cleaner and hose the interior
of the throttle body. Get all the lil holes and such. Use the whole can.
afterwards wait a few minutes and then starter up. Is the car speed density
or Mass ?
Hope it helps. If not at least your TB is clean..

Through my own experience I think I've narrowed it down to a lean condition
detected by the EEC. If your car is stock then the first thing I'd suggest
is to take off the Idle Air Bypass solenoid mounted on the side of your
throttle body and clean it out. If that doesn't solve the problem or your
car is modified then your next course of action may be the purchase of an
idle air bypass plate. This is a .25" think aluminum plate that mounts
between the IAB solenoid and the throttle body. It has two small allen head
setscrews in it that allow you to tailor the amount of additional air that
is bypassed around the throttle body and into the intake manifold. I have
one on my own car and it tamed my idle quite well. I suggest you go to the
Corral (www.corral.net/forums) and do a search in the windsor forum
regarding idle surge. You should find a wealth of information there. Good
luck.

A new TPS has corrected this problem with my GT in the past. Don't
forget to set the voltage after installation.
