I have a 1973 Mustang convertible with an automatic tranmission. I
need to replace the "housing and lever assembly # 7C153" as shown on
page 17-02-05 of the Ford 1973 car shop manual - volume 1 Chassis. I
have a picture of the item that I can email to someone who might have
this part. Please advise. Thank you.

The housing unit you seek is no longer available from Ford.... Your best
bet is to contact a Mustang parts dealer or dismantler, and ask them for
the lower shifter assembly for an automatic equipped 71-73 Mustang or
Cougar.....

If you need to replace it due to sloppiness. You can save the trouble and
get new bushings for it from Ford and fix it yourself. HTH StuK
